Fritz Wagner

(1896 – 1939)

Fritz Wagner was born in Munich on 15th May 1896, and died there on 3rd April 1939. He was a pupil of Carl Roth and Robert Seitz in Munich.

Wagner visited Italy, Hungary and Romania to study art. He is best known for his paintings depicting Bavarian peasant folk and interior genre scenes. 
He also painted portraits, still life and views of Chiemsee, a Lake near Munich.
