Restoration of Oil Paintings and Watercolours

Please do not hesitate to write or telephone regarding advice for a free estimate concerning a painting and it's cleaning, restoration and re-varnishing. Our experts are frequently travelling the country and will be pleased to make an appointment.

Although we undertake the restoration of great masters, we also undertake works of little monetary value which are of great sentimental value to their owners. Whatever the painting is worth it is treated with the same care, respect and feeling that the original artist himself applied.

We also strongly recommend the preservation of contemporary works to refresh their beauty and maintain them in good state. Sometimes under the grime of years a beautiful painting may be discovered.

Valuations

E. Stacy-Marks provide valuations for insurance and family division. Rates can be negotiated according on the work involved. Full inventories of paintings can be provided for identification and security purposes.

Viewings

If you are not able to visit any of our galleries in person we can arrange for detailed digital images of any paintings to be sent to you via e-mail or, if you prefer, conventional prints and transparency's to be sent to you by post. We can also arrange personal viewings of selected works across the UK.

Auctions

E. Stacy-Marks are also happy to provide advice for clients wishing to bid for works at auction or to carry out bidding on behalf of our clients. Please contact us for further details of this service.

Delivery

We deliver all over the world and provide secure packing cases to ensure the safe delivery of your purchases to your door. In the UK paintings are delivered by our own special vehicles and staff or by courier and can be hung by us if within distance of our galleries.

Catalogues

E. Stacy-Marks sends out a number of full colour illustrated catalogues and invitations to attend our exhibitions which are held throughout the year at various locations in the UK. We would be delighted to add you to our mailing list.
