Henry H. Parker (1858-1930)

Born in the midlands in 1858,he was a traditional landscape painter in oil and watercolour.He painted views of the Thames
and the countryside of Surrey,Kent and Wales.His palette and style are reminiscent of Benjamin Leader,another well known Victorian painter.

Although Parker did not exhibit during his lifetime,his paintings have subsequently achieved great recognition and appreciation since his
death aged 72 in 1930.
